Ibis statuette

Figure of a semi-squatting ibis. The head shows recessed eyes, probably once inlaid. The beak, not particularly curved or long, is detailed with thin lateral striations. The slightly arched neck ends with two raised rings at its base. The wings are folded to the body. The decoration of the tail is only faintly discernible. The legs are bent. The various parts of the legs are connected by thin bronze elements, partially preserved, with the remains of two rectangular-section tenons: one between the elbows and one under the toes. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for hollow casts.
