Imhotep statuette

Figure of Imhotep, seated with an open papyrus scroll on his lap. Imhotep is depicted with a skullcap. The figure is adorned with a collar consisting of multiple registers, which is barely visible. Imhotep has his arms bent, the hands resting on the thighs and holding a papyrus scroll on his lap. Imhotep is wearing an ankle-length plaited kilt. The feet rest on a hollow trapezoidal base, filled with the remains of the mould. A tenon with an undefined section protrudes from the base. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
