Figure of a royal sphinx, probably of modern manufacture. On its head it wears a long headdress vaguely resembling a nemes, with a queue at the back. The face is longer than wide; the eyes are prominent and asymmetrical, the nose is short and broad, and the mouth is rendered as a simple horizontal incision. The chest is flat, the forepaws are extended forward, with the toes indicated. The thighs are outlined on the sides, the hind paws protrude from the body, and the tail curls around the right thigh. The figure is mounted on a modern wooden base.
