Sphinx statuette

Figure of a sphinx standing and striding, with the left legs forward. The sphinx has a modius on its head. The human head has a tripartite wig. The lion's body has an elongated back, with stubby, short legs and large paws with modelled toes. The left hind leg is missing. The tail is broken. The statuette is mounted on a modern, wooden base. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
