Squatting figure of Maat on a decorated seat. Maat wears a tripartite wig, which was probably topped with a tall ostrich feather, now missing. There is a square recess on the top of the wig for fitting the feather. The wig is decorated with a band around the head. The goddess is wearing a dress that does not allow distinguishing the limbs, and rests on a seat with a rectangular base with a recessed profile. The seat is made of four legs with a square cross-section, and the top is closed and decorated with three bars that meet in a single apex at the bottom. Perhaps the figure was part of a group. The object appears to have been made in the lost-wax technique for hollow casts.
