Hypocephalus. The decorated surface is inscribed with Chapter 162 of the Book of the Dead. On the decorated side, an outer band is entirely covered with inscriptions. The inner section is parted into three registers: the upper register is decorated with four figurative scenes and columns of text. At the centre of the hypocephalus, within a rectangular frame, appears a squatting deity with four ram heads, each crowned with a solar disk and uraeus; ankh signs are shown on the knees. The deity is represented mummiform, wearing a wesekh collar and perhaps a bead-net represented with an X-shaped motif. To the right are two baboons crowned with a moon disc resting on the crescent moon, their arms raised in adoration. On both sides of the central figure there are four lines of text. The third register is inverted: the upper portion contains two lines of text, while the lower portion shows a continuous register consisting of three figurative scenes. The reverse of the hypocephalus is plain and undecorated. The object consists of an engraved bronze sheet.
