Dog mummy of skittle type with a cylindrical body and naturalistic head, somewhat similar to 2347/1. The head of the dog is painted, the ears are erect, and the outline of the eyes, nose and mouth are appliquéd. The interior of the ears is made of two different bandages. The almond shaped eyes are white, with black pupils. The slightly open mouth is delineated by orange/pinkish bandages appliquéd on a bleached textile. The nostrils are indicated by two unpainted rectangles. The neck is reinforced by two folded bandages of undyed(?) linen. The back of the dog was covered with a plain bandage that has largely worn away: spiral bandages below can be seen, that are held in place through linen thread. The base is reinforced with the same undyed linen as the back.
CT scans show the skeleton of a juvenile dog. The animal is placed in the usual seated position with flexed hind paws. The forelimbs are extended along the body and the tail runs between the limbs close to the belly. It has been eviscerated.
