Cat mummy of skittle type with a naturalistically modelled head. The ears are upright and edged with brown textile. The head is covered with a folded piece of linen that separates ears and muzzle. The eyes are only indicated by cavities on the surface. Details of nose and muzzle are missing as the bandages are damaged. The neck is reinforced with alternating bandages. The cat mummy is covered in the front with a herringbone pattern of bandages. The base of the cat mummy is reinforced with undyed bandages. Some linen threads emerge from the front. The bandages form almost horizontal stripes along the back, which are very tidy. Beneath this pattern, spiral bandages and swatches of cloth cover the animal, with strings holding them in place, visible through holes on the back side. CT scans show a complete skeleton of a kitten (possibly Felis silvestris lybica), whose sex could not be established. The animal was positioned in the usual fashion, with the legs flexed towards the body and the tail against the belly. The animal was eviscerated but not excerebrated.
