Osirian figure containing a mummy

Wooden Osirian obelisk figure on a square base, plastered. Each part is carved from a single piece of wood. The obelisk has a slightly damaged tip. The Standing figure of Osiris with atef crown leans against one side of the obelisk. The eyes are made of different materials but only one is preserved. A mummy bundle was inserted in the base through a hole on the lower side. On the base are traces of resin.
The mummy bundle is visible only from the bottom side of the obelisk and seems to be wrapped in a textile that is tightly held by an S-twist string. The bottom end of the cavity is further cushioned with fragments of tissue.

The CT scans reveal that the Osirian obelisk figure contains an object wrapped in linen, although it is currently not possible to identify what it is: it might only contain feathers or bone fragments.
