Shabti of Ramesses III. The tripartite wig is plain. The face is regular, slightly tapering towards the chin. The eyebrows are asymmetrical; the eyes are large and elongated with cosmetic lines; the nose is small and fine; and the mouth is small and straight, with full lips. The ears are large. The shabti wears a false beard with its tip bent outwards, connected to the chest. The arms are crossed on the chest, the right above the left; the hands are clenched into fists. The shabti’s tools are missing. Across the abdomen and legs runs the inscription: “The Osiris, the King User-Maat-Re Mery-Amun, justified for eternity.” Under the feet is the remnant of a rectangular-section tenon. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
