Penshenabu is depicted offering a naos (shrine housing the statue of a god) with a ram’s head on top of it, the animal sacred to the god Amun-Re. The image of the god is engraved on the statue’s right shoulder, while the image of Queen Ahmose-Nefertari is on the left shoulder and that of the goddess Hathor on the left shoulder blade. The man’s skin is white, in imitation of alabaster, like the statue of Amenhotep I (Cat. 1372, Museo Egizio).
