Penmernabu is depicted as he presents a shrine surmounted by the head of a ram, an animal sacred to the god Amon-Re. an image of the god is also carved on the statue’s right-hand shoulder, while an image of the goddess Ahmes-Nefertari his left shoulder and one of Hator is carved on his left shoulder blade. Even though limestone statues are usually completely decorated, in this case the man’s skin is painted white, a stylistic trait it shares with the statue of Amenhotep I in the Turin Egyptian Museum and that of the royal scribe Ramose at the Louvre.
