As overseer of fields, an official responsible for the measurement and registration of agricultural lands, Kheperka was one of the main collaborators of the vizier. According to the inscription, the statue was offered to him by the king himself. Although the cartouche of this king is unfortunately unreadable, he is probably Marmesha or Antef V, since the facial features and linear rendering of the pectoral muscles are typical for the reigns of these two kings. The inscription invokes Amon and Sobek, the two most important gods of the late Middle Kingdom.
