Canopic jar of Ptahhotep with a jackal-headed lid

The complete set of canopic jars was used to preserve the internal organs of the deceased Ptahhotep. The lids depict the heads of the four sons of Horus, who protected the jars and their contents: Imsety with a human head, Hapi with a falcon head, Duamutef with a baboon head and Qebehsenuef with a jackal head.
