Khonsu statuette

Figure of falcon-headed Khonsu, standing and striding, the left leg forward. The god is crowned with a headdress composed of a moon disk, decorated with the uraeus, resting on the crescent moon. The god has a tripartite wig decorated with vertical incisions. The eyes are recessed, probably for the inlays, which are now missing. The right arm is along the body, the left is slightly bent. Both hands are pierced to insert the now missing insignia. The god has a collar consisting of two plain registers. The god wears a shendyt-kilt. The legs and knees are modelled with anatomical precision. The feet are missing. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
