Fragmentary arched sistrum with a Hathoric protome. The upper part of the object consists of a structure formed by a base decorated with uraei in relief and, on either side, two vertical elements pierced laterally and traversed by a slot. An iron pin is still preserved on one side. At the centre of the upper section sits a stylized cat in an attentive pose. Below this structure is the Hathoric protome, wearing a wig decorated with a herringbone pattern, the lappets ending in curls. The bovine ears flank the face, which is triangular in shape. The protome appears on both sides of the object. The protome rests on a collar decorated with five registers. On one side of the protome are two lacunae—one larger and one smaller—through which the black-colured casting core is visible. The casting core fills the object. The sistrum is completed by a smooth handle with a raised band at its base. An irregular, roughly circular break is present under the base, revealing the inner casting core. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for hollow casts.
