Decorative element consisting of an aegis with hathoric head. The goddess’ headdress is broken. The goddess has a decorated wig. The goddess has bovine ears, the eyes are set in a recess that highlights the eyebrows; the eyes are almond-shaped, elongated at the outer corner, and outlined by a simple line. The nose is wide, the mouth small, and the philtrum columns between the nose and lips are accentuated. The protome of the goddess features a plain wesekh-collar, the lower part has a register decorated with a zigzag pattern and dots. The back of the bronze object is concave, and the edges are raised. The object terminates in a massive rectangular tenon. The presence of a tenon and the decoration only on one side do not support the interpretation of the object as a sistrum; instead, the tenon suggests that the object was designed to be mounted somewhere, and the flat back suggests that the object was supported by a flat surface at the back, possibly serving as a decorative element. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
