Hollow statuette of a horse, possibly used as a lamp

Lamp in the form of a horse. The mane is arranged in a small tuft, which is slightly warped, on the head. The ears are pointed and hollowed. The head is fitted with a T-shaped harness. The eyes are deeply incised laterally and very large; the nostrils are indicated by two small depressions, and the mouth is open. The short mane has a hole containing a metal element. Three pairs of triangles are carved on the neck, placed on the right, left, and centre. On the back of the horse is a rectangular cut, likely intended to hold a rider, considering the harness and comparable examples. Behind this recess is a hinge through which a metal wire passes. Two trilobed shapes are cut on the thighs. The harness passes under the thin tail and encircles the belly. The legs are slender. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for hollow casts.
