Apis bull statuette

Figure of Apis bull, striding with left legs forward. He has a solar disc between his horns, decorated with a large uraeus. A triangle is incised on the forehead. The bull’s body is massive. The tail is attached to the right hind leg. The figure rests on a thin base. Part of the base is missing; the rest is irregular and in poor condition. From the centre of the base protrudes a massive tenon. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
