Amun statuette

Standing figure of Amun, striding with left leg forward. The god is wearing a crown composed of a flat top headdress, similar to the base of the red crown, surmounted by two feathers, the base of which is still present, whereas the rest is missing: it seems that the feathers have been filed off. Amun has a false beard attached to his chest, decorated with a plaited pattern, its tip bent outwards. Amun has his right arm at side with the hand clenched in a fist and featuring a hole, likely intended to hold a now-lost sceptre. The left arm is bent and the hand closed with modelled fingers and thumb, and once held an object now missing. Amun is wearing a shendyt-kilt. The feet rest on a hollow rectangular base. From the base, a broken, oval-section tenon projects down. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
