Cat statuette

Figure of a crouching cat poised to leap. The head appears worn, with stylised features. The chest is round. The cat is slightly raised on its forelegs. Part of the abdomen is detached from the base. The back forms a curve, and the hind legs emerge from under the body. The tail runs along the right side. The cat stands on a base in the form of the hieroglyph sA (Gardiner V17), denoting protection, inscribed on the front and right sides. The rear left corner of the base is broken, revealing the hollow interior. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for hollow casts.
