Coffin for a cat

Fragmented hollow-cast copper alloy head of an animal mummy coffin in the form of a cat. There is a socket for a scarab on the head, which contains substantial casting core remains. The head’s size and iconography suggest that it was the head of a larger seated cat figure that was not entirely cleared from the casting core and used as a container for a cat mummy.
