Amun statuette

Standing figure of Amun, striding with left leg forward. The god is wearing a crown composed of a flat-topped headdress, similar to the base of the red crown, with the remnant of the feathers, which have been filed off. The god is wearing a false beard, connected to the chest through a bronze bar. Amun has his left arm at side with the hand clenched in a fist and with a hole – which is blocked – probably to hold an insignia, which is now missing. The right arm is broken. The god is wearing a shendyt kilt. The feet rest on an almost rectangular base, from the centre of which a thick rectangular tenon projects down. The statuette is mounted on a modern wooden base. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
