Figure of uraeus. The vertical stripe in the centre of the uraeus’ body represents the ventral scales and is decorated with horizontal incisions. The body of the uraeus is divided in six parts, and their inlays are preserved. The recesses of the hood are inlaid with a blue material, probably identifiable as stone or vitreous paste, the central recesses are inlaid with red vitreous paste, and the lower recesses are inlaid with a light blue vitreous paste. Perhaps the figure was part of a larger statue, or it could have been a standalone figure. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
