Uraeus statuette

Figure of a uraeus with a red crown, probably used as a standalone votive figure. The lituus is missing. The head is detailed, with deep recesses for the eyes. The hood and body are divided into six recessed spaces for inlay: the two upper and lower spaces are filled with yellowish inorganic material, while for the two central ones, the right inlay is missing, and the left inlay is made from a greenish inorganic material. The ventral scales are indicated by horizontal incisions. Beneath the figure, there is a solid rectangular-section tenon. The tail is continuous and sinuous. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
