Crocodile mummy with the head separated from the body. It has lost most of its bandages, only tiny fragments of cloth remain, between the paws. The body is covered by oils and resins that give it a black patina.
The CT scans show an incomplete crocodile skeleton. There might be remnants of a meal in the body, but it is also possible that these are merely the crocodile’s own organs as it was not eviscerated.
