Snake mummy

Roughly egg-shaped snake mummy package wrapped in a central square coffer pattern, with undyed and orange/pinkish stripes. The snake(s?) were untidily wrapped with bandages and linen thread to fix them, and are visible on the bottom of the package. There was probably a perimeter bandage that is now missing, as is suggested by the disorderly edge of one of the coffers. Black stains of embalming agents are visible on the sides and on the back.

The CT scan shows at least one snake that is coiled several times over itself in a repeated figure eight; it is also possible that the package contains more than one snake. A head is present. It is probably a colubrid snake of some sort.
