Handle of arched sistrum

Arched sistrum handle. Hathoric protomes are present on both sides of the object, each crowned by a bell-shaped capital. The protomes wear wigs ending in two curls; the triangular faces show no visible details and appear worn. Below each protome is a plain collar, while on either side two uraei, bearing the white crown, connect the collar, protome, and capital. bands. The smooth handle terminates in a button. The upper part of the handle is broken and has been repaired using the cast-on technique, through the addition of a bronze collar. Possible impressions from fabric are visible on the handle. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for hollow casts.
