Khonsu statuette

Standing, mummiform figure of Khons, wearing a tight-fitting dress which leaves the hands uncovered. The god is wearing a headband with a uraeus. He also had a headdress, which is now missing, probably a moon disc resting on the crescent moon. The god has a thin false beard, with its tip bent outwards. On the back, the upper part of the dress is rigid and forms a sort of collar. The arms are bent and the fists, with modelled thumbs, the right one positioned above the left and resting tightly on the torso, hold the nekhekh, heqa and was sceptres. The feet rest on a shaped base. The tenon is broken. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
