The deceased found in the chamber dug at the bottom of the middle shaft of this mastaba lay on his side in a half-contracted position in this rectangular coffin, with his limbs wrapped separately in linen bandages. The outer sides of the coffin box are graced with the recessed “palace façade” motif representing the doorways of a house or palace. The coffin is badly damaged by termites.
