Multimaterial fabric

This artifact could be a test of weaving or a finished product (cushion or seat cover). The fabric is composed of geometric motifs assembled into a single object: a L-shaped interlaced design and an eight-pointed blue star. One of the edges is “pile” worked, with threads or loops projecting from the surface, giving thickness and softness to the cloth; this technique is known since the Pharaonic times and it decorates a blanket from the tomb of Kha and Merit.
