Shabti

Mummiform shabti. The upper part of the head is missing. The figure appears to wear a tripartite wig. The face, longer than wide, preserves a visible nose. A false beard is present, with the tip curling outwards. In the stylised hands, which emerge from the garment, the figure holds two implements: a hoe in the left hand and a pick in the right. A dorsal pillar with an inscription is visible on the back. The figure stands on a rectangular base. The underside of the base has been filed, as has the tenon, which has been reshaped into a peg. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
