Nefertem statuette

Standing figure of Nefertem, striding with left leg forward. The god is wearing a headdress composed of a lotus blossom surmounted by two stylised plumes and flanked by two bronze elements, probably identifiable as menat-counterpoises (a hathoric symbol of fertility). A thin suspension loop is located behind the crown. The god wears a tripartite wig equipped with a stylised uraeus. The face is worn. The god wears a false beard. The arms are positioned along the body. The god wears a shendyt-kilt. The legs were broken at the knees but have been reattached. The feet rest on a rectangular base. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
