Fish mummy

A fairly flat mummy wrapped in a coarse undyed linen. The linen is kept in place by strips of shredded papyrus, knotted in place. One side is flatter than the other as it has slightly fewer wrappings, implying that some padding was used to protect the fish. The Ct scans show a complete fish skeleton, the skull is shattered but still recognisable. It can be identified as a Lates niloticus due to the presence of two dorsal fins.
