Seated, naked figure of Harpocrates. The god has a skullcap decorated with a uraeus. On the left side of the skullcap, there is a break in the bronze surface, from which the casting core – of a light grey colour – is visible. On the right side of the skullcap, there is a plaited side-lock, which ends with a curl on the right shoulder. The ears are pierced, probably for earrings. Harpocrates has a long necklace, tied at the back, with a heart (Gardiner F34) as pendant. The god has his arms, adorned with decorated armlets, at sides with hands open, the palms facing down. The legs are together, parting at the knees and ankles. The muscles of the legs are indicated. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for hollow casts.
