Sekhmet statuette

Standing figure of a female deity. The shape of the head, which is large and seems to have a muzzle, and the arms at sides, suggests that it may be a representation of the goddess Sekhmet. The arms are at sides. There is a tenon under the feet. The figure surface is highly uneven and corroded, showing a green colour. The corrosion layer may have included linen bandages wrapping the figure. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
