Amulet (?) depicting the god Bes

Figure of Bes. He has a stylised, feathered headdress, the feathers are rather flat and pierced at the top. A broken suspension loop is present on the back of the headdress. The leonine ears are modelled. The god is depicted naked, in a squatting position with his legs arched. The upper arms are attached to the body, and the forearms are bent forward and broken. A thick layer of corrosion, which seems to have included linen bandages wrapping the figure, surrounds the chest, upper arms, and back. The tail reconnects with the base. The feet merge with the base. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
