Aegis of Sekhmet with counterpoise. The goddess is crowned with a solar disc equipped with a uraeus. The leonine head, of irregular appearance, is framed by a tripartite wig. At the back of the wig is a menat counterpoise, preserved only in part. The lower section of the counterpoise bears two suspension loops, while a third loop, placed centrally, belongs to the collar itself. The three elements are joined by a metal wire, the ends of which are visible outside the loops. The wesekh collar is decorated, though the incisions are only visible on the right side. Beneath the head, a layer of bronze overlaps the collar. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
