The senet, a game board complete with a small drawer for gaming pieces and astragals (small bones used as dice), is a luxury object that is rarely found in private tombs. Some of the squares have written indications such as “open,” “the spirits of ba,” “water,” and “perfect,” which are still truly enigmatic, since we do not know the exact rules of the game. The object was a gift of Benermeret , the son of a colleague of Kha's named Neferhebef, who is also depicted in Kha's funerary chapel.
