The inside of this case with a flat double-lid is divided into compartments holding a number of small jars of alabaster and colored glass. Inside the jars are traces of unguents and fat-based creams. A small tube made of blue glass with white and yellow festoons and a small stick applicator contained kohl, a black substance made from soot and antimony that was applied to the eyelids and eyelashes as a protective filter against the rays of the sun and as a disinfectant.
