Banner top with the figure of a baboon squatting on a palmiform capital. The baboon is crowned with a headdress consisting of a moon disc resting on the crescent moon. On either side of the head are two large tufts of fur, detailed with horizontal striations. The mantle is clearly distinct from the body and appears decorated at the front. The baboon seems to wear a necklace with a rectangular plaque on its chest. The front paws rest on the knees and protrude from beneath the mantle. The fur on the legs is rendered by small notches, while the tail runs along the right side of the body. The figure rests on a square base, supported by a detailed palmiform capital. The entire object is mounted on a modern wooden stand. The object is made in the lost-wax technique, possible hollow cast.
