Hieratic ostracon inscribed with extracts from the composition known as “Kemyt”

The Kemyt is a collection of texts created to teach apprentice scribes different styles of writing. The composition includes exercise phrases from various types of texts, which the scribes must copy and memorise. The Kemyt, characterised by the arrangement of the text in columns, concludes with a praise of the scribe’s trade.
